How to divert an iPhone – how does call forwarding work?

How to divert calls on your iPhone:

Follow the instructions below to forward calls from an iphone:

  1. Go to the Settings app
  2. Click on “Phone” (about halfway down)
  3. Next go to “Call Forwarding”
  4. Call Forwarding is turned on by moving the button to the right
  5. Next click on “Forward To”
  6. Finally type in the phone number of where you want calls diverted to
  7. When finished, simply tap the back button to save changes

Go to the home screen of your iPhone and select “settings”

Select/tap the ‘Phone’ tab as shown

Select/tap the call forwarding button

Select call forwarding

Toggle/select call forwarding (it should turn green)

Click on ‘Forward to’ as shown below

To forward calls to another number, simply type in the phone number of where you want calls to be diverted to:

Type telephone number
Next

Now return to call forwarding settings

Return to settings
Next

The number you have just entered should now show in grey

Number should now be in grey
Next

If everything has been successful then a phone icon with an arrow should now be appearing to the top of your iPhone screen to confirm that call forwarding is now on
